Hello Fellow Paddlers,

Travis Moise here. As some of you may know, my wife Esther and I, recently took over the Northeast Paddlers Message Board from Wayne. We’re excited to announce the revamp of NPMB and I just wanted to reach out to all of you for a quick introduction.

I first started paddling in ‘99 after learning how to canoe from Lauri Gullian and Karen Knight at the Outdoor Leadership Program, at Greenfield Community College in MA. Not long after that, I met Wayne, a fellow open boater, and we hit it off paddling together on the Millers and the Deerfield rivers.

Since that time, quite a bit has changed. I found my life partner, Esther here in Utah, and together we built Utah SKI Gear, a small brick and mortar shop focused on new and used gear with an online presence specializing in tuning supplies and race equipment.

Despite carving out careers in the ski industry; first as instructors for 15 years and then as shop owners for the past 10 and counting, paddling continues to hold a special place in our lives.

Like snow that melts off the mountains and fills the rivers below, we find ourselves making that same annual migration. From the mountains to the rivers, Esther and I always sought to follow our passions.

Taking on the Northeast Paddlers project is a way for us to continue to do just that. We’re excited to support and help revive the community here by providing infrastructure, resources, and technical support. For instructions on how to access your account, please use the yellow link below.

For the past few months, our team here at Utah SKI Gear has been working on the re-launch of Northeast Paddlers Message Board as NortheastPaddlers.com. Here’s what we’ve done so far:

  • Revamped and freshened up the website while keeping the history and content intact
  • Created a marketplace for high-quality gear at affordable prices
  • Assembled a small team of e-commerce and customer support professionals to service the back end of the site and offer support when needed

As we continue tweaking the site and adding products to the store, we’d love to hear from you!
It’s important to us we keep the community-focused element of the site at its forefront. If there are things you’d like to see, ideas, concerns, or questions, reach out: support@northeastpaddlers.com

Finally, to celebrate our grand opening, we’d like to offer you 20% off your first order. Just use the code ‘NEGRANDOPENING20’ at checkout.

Warmest Regards,

Travis Moise
