FYI this is our last presentation in the Safety Series for 2021, this evening, Tuesday April 13th. If you'd like to catch this one or the others, you can access recordings (and passwords) by going to the Lowercolumbiacanoeclub.org website and scrolling down the Calendar of Events until you find the event you'd like to see. I particularly recommend the Safety Series Part 2: The Human Factor. This series was popular and fun enough that we will do it again----next winter, with some of the same guests, some new, some of the same subject matter, some new.

Get advice on staying fit to avoid injury from Teresa “Tree” Rogerson. A 3-time competitor at the World Surf Kayaking Championships, she's a lifelong athlete and paddler and the first woman to compete in the prestigious Green River Race. Tree is also a certified ACA L4 Surf Kayak Instructor. Whether on a SUP board, in a whitewater kayak, or surf kayak, Tree is a force.
The River Safety Series is organized and hosted by Teresa Gryder, the LCCC’s Safety Chair. Teresa has made it her mission to help paddlers manage the risks of being on the water. In each installment of the Safety series, guides, instructors and subject matter experts share their vast knowledge and experience gained over decades on the river. Instead of learning the hard way, join us to hear their insights and stories, and let useful tips sink in so that you might lower your risks and prevent injuries and fatalities on the river.
