Novice Clinic Update: Norm
- Norm’s got 14 students for novice clinic
He can take 15 kayak’s and 5 open boats
Should we expand and add instructors?
- Tony to enable auto notification form for Norm
- 4-5 signed up for follow-up novice clinic on Deerfield

Financial status update: Rich

- Membership renewal is slow this year, do we need a reminder mailing or email
- James to send out a generic email tomorrow
- Rich to send out emails to individuals who got Bow & Stern and haven’t paid dues
- What about sponsorships? Fiddlehead slalom / New England Slalom Series (NESS)
- In the past we’ve done approx $50.00/year VT Rivers Conservancy: preserves public access to VT rivers
- In the past we’ve done approx $100.00/year NEES
- In the past we've done approx $100.00/year Fiddlehead Slalom
Newbiz
EMS club day: James
- 20% off at EMS for all clubs.
- We can setup a table with pamphlet’s
- Can put out bow & stern and/or pamphlets?
- Does Ray have the VPC banner?
- James will take Tony’s card table and setup the table @ EMS

UVM Clinic:
- may be falling through, they can’t find boats
- Dan to direct UVM to Boy’s & Girls club in Burlington (802) 864-5263

Summer general membership meeting:
- With UVM falling though, James is thinking about having at his house instead
- James proposes Saturday, August 19th, everybody ok with that

Competing VPC Trips: Should we monitor who and when official trips are scheduled?
- General consensus is yes for ACA/VPC trips

Official vs Bootleg Trips:
- ACA provides liability insurance for trip leaders and the club to prevent them from having to pay for lawsuits
- Dan provided clarification on what ACA insurance covers
- Dan moved that Official and Bootleg’s get categorized into one calendar
- Rich wanted someone to check with ACA on differentiating between official vs bootleg
- James to follow up w/ACA
- Dan moves that we have a moderator/gatekeeper and set of criteria to determine when/where/who can lead VPC sponsored Trips. Everybody says ok. Now we need to discuss the criteria.

Questions for ACA: Rich to follow up w/ACA
1.) Where is appendix A in the PAC manual for single day river trips?
2.) Are their sample plans that meet the requirements of appendix A
3.) Have there been any situations where an ACA affiliated club has needed liability insurance and has been supported or not?
4.) Can we advertise Official and Unofficial trips in the same “box” on the web: James to follow-up w/ACA
5.)
