Missisquoi Family Paddle Day

Learn how to paddle a canoe! Join us for a morning focused on beginner basics from how to fit a life jacket, how to get in and out of a canoe, and how to paddle. Louie's Landing in the Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge is a scenic, easy-to-get-to location in Swanton, Vermont. The slow moving water is the perfect locale for families to receive instruction on how to canoe. Space is limited to 25 participants. Register here for FREE. Lunch will be provided.
Schedule
- 9:00-9:15am: Meet at Louie's Landing in the Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge, Swanton, Vt.
- 9:30-9:45am: Small group paddling and safety instruction
- 9:45-11:30am: Small group paddling on the Missisquoi River within the refuge
- 11:45am-1:00pm: Free lunch courtesy of Friends of the Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge

Logistics
- Please bring water bottle, shoes or sandals that can get wet, sunscreen and hat.
