subject Just upstream of the Lower Lamoille takeout...

See this location on Google Maps. The best put-in is the large gravel turnout on Route 104A on the other side of the hill as you head towards Fairfax. The best takeout for walking back to your car is the turnout by the auto bridge, just upstream of High Bridge (the railroad bridge). It's not a bad walk.
