In response to my earlier post, Charlie Beyer has expressed interest in a weekend run.
It turns out that the Saranac's level is holding really well. As of 8:30 pm tonight the gauge is showing a level of 5.91 feet, albeit with the usual fluctuations due to dam control. The river should be plenty fluid this weekend, and the weather promises to be cool and clear (upper 50s to mid-60s) with lots of fresh spring greenery on the banks, along with possible wildlife sightings.
I would really like to have at least one other boater join us. I know a few people who have been on it at a level below 5.0 feet in the last 3 years. The current level will give an even better indication of what this river has to offer.
Please email me or call me at 802-863-2149 if you're interested.
