It is down to 6.7 feet as of 7:30 am. However, there was rain in its watershed earlier this morning, and there is more rain out in western New York. The whole region is overspread by very humid air, so rain could develop in many places.

So we'll have to see. An alternative I have in mind is local — the seldom-run Shepard Brook, along North Fayston Road (Moretown/Fayston). I think it will be at least fluid, and could be at a solid medium level.

Two river-wide logs were removed from the run last Sunday and Monday, and I did a low water test run on Sunday along with Chris Muraski, from the Randell Road bridge to just above Route 100. There is one river-left sneak or portage required to bypass wood downstream of the Airport Road bridge, and reasons for caution elsewhere on the run, but it should be generally clear.
