There have been numerous localized weak storm cells moving across eastern New York and Vermont this afternoon. It looks like this will continue tonight.

The following watersheds are getting additional rain:

  • Lamoille
  • Mad / Huntington / Little / Winooski
  • New Haven / Otter Creek
  • White
  • Saranac (NY)

All the above are at runnable flows, mostly on the low side. For inexperienced paddlers the Lamoille, Lower Mad, Otter Creek and White are all options, along with some sections of the Winooski. The Little River is releasing at between 400 and 500 cfs. The Saranac is just above its minimum boatable level (class 2-3) and appears to be rising gradually.

The New Haven Ledges is at a low boatable level and appears to be rebounding in response to today's rain, with more coming in the next hour or so.
