Hi Everybody! Excited to be here and to begin whitewater paddling.
I just bought a Dagger 3-D last week, and I've gone out every day to mess around on flat water and get comfortable with it. Came with a skirt and paddle. Helmet is too small. I ordered one, which will arrive Aug 7.
My experience: plenty of canoe paddling experience. Longest trip was a 7-day trip with the Boy Scouts in Algonquin Provincial Park. Have been in a rec/touring kayak maybe a dozen times, family outings at the lake and on trips to Maine. Took a few whitewater lessons 20 years ago when I lived in Montana, mostly swimming pool stuff. Got the basics down, and got my hand roll and some rolls with the paddle in a Dagger Outburst.
I feel comfortable in this boat. Anyone want to take me on some Class 1-2 water, see where my skills are at, and impart some knowledge? Thanks!
