subject Watching the stump...

I just took a break and sat by the river, overlooking the stump in the water just off the corner of the Chace Mill's northwest parking lot.

When I got there, the stump was mostly submerged, and the wave looked pretty flat. After a while the water level dropped 5 or 6 inches, and the wave (seen from the side and behind) appeared to recover much of its height and depth (in front of the foam pile).

I'll check again closer to your arrival time.
