The Vermont Paddlers Club

Hi everyone,

I'd love to have one more safety boater for this year's Onion River Race and Ramble, scheduled for Sunday, June 4th, on the Winooski River. This is the largest down-river race in the state! We are expecting ~100 paddlers. Safety boaters are stationed at a rapid below the railroad trestle bridge, about 3/4 of a mile below the put-in. While not a particularly difficult rapid, it does present some challenges for the novice paddler and those in tippy race boats, and usually there is an incident or two.
