I'm down to lead this trip. See this entry in the AW River Guide and this VPC trip report (one of 3—see this list).

The Saranac is already at a runnable (medium low) level of 5.0 feet, and rain has begun falling in its large watershed as I write this, with 0.25 inches forecast for tonight (in Burlington). With more rain coming later this week I think we can be confident that it will be runnable on Saturday, although probably not above a medium level. Then again, three warm days in a row, starting with Thursday in the mid-70s, may generate some residual snowmelt in the northern Adirondacks to supplement the rain.
