Meeting was called to order @ 9:00 by James Raboin at the Williston Federated Church

Newbiz

1.) Novice Clinic:
Should we give each student a free ACA membership at the novice clinic?
a.) Group decided novice attendee's shouldn’t get a free ACA membership. $75 for clinic with the option to pay $85 and get an ACA membership
b.) Group decided we should strike “preference given to VT residence” from advertisement
c.) Should the class II clinic be VPC/ACA members only?
- Group decided participants should pay $35 for class II clinic and get free ACA membership.

2.) Next meeting Monday April 24th at Tony’s house

3.) UVM outreach:
11-13yr old summer camp, few weekday afternoons for 3hrs. Dan proposal...
a.) charge $17/student X 60 total students (20 per day)
b.) Sit-on-tops canoes safer than kayaks
c.) Boys/Girls club has a rack of kayaks should we ask them to use equipment?
- Group decided Boy's/Girl's Club lead could be suggested to UVM but ultimately they need to be responsible for equipment
- UVM to handle all logistics, waivers, equipment
- Unanimously approved to have Dan make official proposal to UVM.
- Run plan past Ed Amidon to double check any legal issues.
- James to send Rich the dates…

4.) Summer Party:
James proposes a Turkey/Beef/Pork roast @ Bayside Park (Mallot’s bay) June 25th to be funded w/proceeds of UVM outreach program
- $100.00 rental fee
- either free food or $5.00/head
a.) Tony amends proposal to hold off on free food until UVM happens and we have money in hand
- Motion approved
- There seemed to be interest in moving this meeting to later in the summer. James agreed to look at August or September for possible dates.

5.) Finances:
- Kim due money for Bow & Stern
- UVM needs to be paid for pool sessions
